When to Ski

Having trouble deciding when to take time off work.....

December

The ski season usually kicks of in the second week of December - early some might say, but with the high altitude skiing and numerous snow cannons in Courchevel there will be plenty of the white stuff. A reduced price lift pass is offered during the fortnight leading up to Christmas and it is traditionally very quiet on the pistes so a perfect time if you want to learn to ski . You’ll also find that both accommodation and flights are cheaper at this time again great if you want to learn to ski, also a great time to squeeze in an early trip if one skiing holiday just isn’t enough!

Then of course we have Christmas , and where better to spend it? Everybody wants a white Christmas! Let us do all the hard work while you relax in the cosy, festively decorated chalet.

The French really go for it at New Year so you can guarantee there will be plenty going on in La Tania , and of course we’ll be having our own celebrations in Chalet Meleze .

January

I love skiing in La Tania and the rest of the Three Valleys in January. Its quiet on the piste, there are no queues and the snow is great! As a customer you’ll love the low season prices and special offers available at this time. February

With February comes the sunshine. The snow is usually at its best now as well. Bear in mind though that it is the English half term and the French holidays so it guaranteed to be busy - it is advisable to book early in order to avoid disappointment. La Tania is a particularly family friendly resort so fills up quickly.

March

March is warm and sunny, a fantastic time to be out and about in the great outdoors. With the days getting longer so do the lift opening hours around the Three Valleys giving you even more time to enjoy the fabulous snow. Fresh powder, blue skies, the warmth of the sun on your skin…..mmmmmmm I can’t wait!!!

April

Just like in January the crowds and queues have gone and the pistes are empty. The fresh spring snow continues to fall and the sunshine is glorious. If you like to worship the sun you can get your skiing done in the morning and spend the afternoon relaxing on one of the many sun terraces dotted around Courchevel.

It’s Easter and the school holidays so a great time to bring the family away. Also like in January the last couple of weeks of the season have a reduced price lift pass and accommodation tends to be a little cheaper - another great time to learn to ski or just to ski!
