We don't provide travel as part of our package which means you have the opportunity to tailor make your journey to La Tania based on your own specific criteria.

Whether you love driving, enjoy flying or prefer a relaxing train journey the possibilities are endless.

Price is usually a major factor when deciding on your journey, many carriers acknowledge this and offer fantastic deals if you book early. We have compiled some information and a list of website links that you should find useful when researching and making your travel arrangements.

Driving
For those of you that enjoy driving or struggle to travel lightly we think this is a great way to get to La Tania, and if there are several of you sharing the costs it can be an economical option. You can decide what time you arrive in and depart from resort - this is perfect for those who find that six days up the mountain just isn’t enough, as if you arrived early on Saturday morning and departed late the following Saturday afternoon you could potentially squeeze in an extra 2 full days skiing! You also have the independence of your own vehicle once you get to resort - this is great if you want to visit another resort for the day (you get a free day in the Espace Killy or Paradiski when you buy a 6 day or more 3V pass). Parking directly outside the chalet is limited but there is ample free parking elsewhere in La Tania

Drive Alive! is a useful website for planning your route, it can also estimate your petrol consumption and details any motorway tolls you will encounter.

Accor Hotels offer a range of accommodation. Their properties are usually situated close to the motorway making them perfect for an overnight stop.

Don’t forget that there maybe a lot of snow in resort, and although the French authorities are very good at clearing the roads you should really carry a set of snow chains with you - the police may even stop you at the bottom of the mountain and insist you put them. Ski Drive is a website selling all sorts of useful accessories you might need to drive to the Alps including snow chains.

Flying
We have chosen Saturday as our transfer day as there is the greatest choice in flights available to you. The low cost airlines fly from all over the UK now so most people aren’t far away from a cheap flight. The closest airport to La Tania is Chambery (1.5 hours), but Geneva (2 hours), Lyon (3 hours) and Grenoble are also close (3 hours). If you usually drive to the airport click here for the Airport Car Parking website.

The following list details which airlines fly to Chambery, Geneva, Lyon and Grenoble.

Train
Travelling by train can be very relaxing - even more so if you travel overnight!

Sadly, the Rail Europe Snow Train will not be operating in 2010, but there are other options for those wanting to travel to the mountains by train.

The Eurostar Direct Ski Service offers an overnight and a daytime option, running directly from London or Ashford to Moûtiers. Daytime services run on Saturdays while the overnight service departs on Friday evenings to arrive in the Alps on Saturday morning, then departs for the return journey on the following Saturday evening, allowing passengers to arrive back in the UK early on Sunday morning. Click here to view the Eurostar website.

Eurostar plus SNCF services run throughout the year to ski destinations, but an enhanced service runs throughout the winter months, with increased day services and direct overnight trains running throughout the week to Moûtiers from where easy connections can be made to La Tania. Passengers travel on Eurostar to Paris Gare du Nord, then transfer to Gare de Lyon for a day train, or Gare Austerlitz for an overnight train to the Alps. Click here to view the Rail Europe website

To get to La Tania from Moutiers (a 20 minute journey) you can either arrange a private transfer (see above) or catch the bus.
